About This App

Motorcycle Log is an iPhone app for recording motorcycle routes with GPS, replaying saved rides, sharing ride files, and keeping motorcycle maintenance history.

Summary

Motorcycle Log stores your rides, GPS points, notes, ratings, maintenance entries, motorcycle names, service types, and app settings on your device. Motorcycle Log does not use accounts, ads, analytics, tracking, or third-party data collection.

Location Data

If you choose to record a ride, the app uses your device location to capture route points, distance, and related ride details. If you grant background location permission, the app can continue recording while the app is not in the foreground.

Location data is used only to provide ride recording and replay features on your device.

Data Stored On Your Device

Motorcycle Log saves app data in a local database inside the app's container. This can include ride dates and durations, GPS route points, motorcycle names, ride notes, ride ratings, maintenance dates, service details, odometer values, costs, links you enter, and app settings.

Data Collection

Motorcycle Log does not send your ride history, GPS points, maintenance records, notes, settings, or backup files to the developer or to a server. The app does not collect data for analytics, advertising, tracking, product personalization, or marketing.

Export, Share, and Restore

If you choose to export a backup, export CSV or XML, export a database file, or share a ride, Motorcycle Log creates a file and opens the system share sheet when appropriate. You decide where that file goes and who receives it.

Any file you share, save, import, or transmit outside the app is handled by the destination you choose and by your own device, storage provider, or messaging service.

Links You Enter

Maintenance entries can include optional links. Those links open only when you tap them. Opening a link may share information with your browser or the website you visit according to their own privacy practices.

Deletion

You can delete rides or maintenance entries inside the app. Deleting the app also removes data stored in the app's local container, unless you previously exported a backup elsewhere.
