About Motorcycle Log

Overview

Motorcycle Log is an iPhone app for recording motorcycle routes with GPS, replaying saved rides, sharing ride files, and keeping maintenance history for one or more bikes.

Route Recording

The app can record GPS points during a ride, including while the app is in the background when location permission allows it. Saved rides can include distance, duration, notes, rating, and the selected motorcycle.

Ride Replay

Completed rides can be reviewed on the map and replayed later. Replay controls let riders scrub through the route and revisit the ride path over time.

Ride Sharing

Motorcycle Log can export a saved ride as a shared ride file. Another Motorcycle Log user can open that file to import the route into their own app.

Maintenance History

The app includes a service log for dates, service types, notes, who performed the work, odometer, cost, and optional links. Entries can be filtered by motorcycle and exported as CSV.

Your Data

Motorcycle Log stores rides, GPS points, maintenance entries, motorcycles, service types, and settings locally on the device. The app does not use accounts, ads, analytics, tracking, or automatic server upload.

Backup and Restore

Users can export ride summaries as CSV, full backups as XML or SQLite, or an app-specific database file that opens directly in Motorcycle Log. Users can also import supported files after confirmation.
